Fabrication
Graham Engineering has
amassed a wealth of experience in high quality
fabrication of, predominantly, stainless steel
items.
The fabrication facility at Nelson has proved to
be extremely flexible and is continuously
changing to meet the needs of contracts.
Cellular Manufacture is standard practice.
Moving machinery to an area to reduce handling
and non-value added operations ensures that
quality remains high whilst production costs are
reduced.
The implementation of the latest technology
where necessary, linked with a Highly Skilled
workforce, who are mostly trained by the linked
training provider Training 2000, has kept
Graham Engineering as a Quality Leader.
Computerized Production Planning and a fully
validated Quality Assurance department support
the Fabrication department.
Welding
The welding facilities
offer varied techniques to suit the
engineering requirements of the product.
The Welding Institute regularly holds meetings
at our Nelson
site to allow open discussions of the latest
advances.
The management of heat
during welding reduces the amount of distortion
and assists during the finish machine
operations. The welding department is at the
forefront of development of Laser welding.
