Graham Engineering Ltd has
been manufacturing for the Nuclear Industry for
well over 25 years.
This has manifested itself
into the precision fabrication of stainless
steel furniture for facilities. Having gained
this expertise we were called upon to lead the
way in the manufacture of the Containers for the
long-term storage of Nuclear Waste, up to 300
years!
The main criteria are cleanliness and the
minimum about of disturbance of the parental
material during the manufacturing process.
The company has invested in
technology and can rightly now claim to be
industry leader in certain processes.
The
introduction of laser profiling of components
after forming has revolutionised the
manufacturing process and increased the accuracy
and repeatability.
The company is one of the
few in the UK that can not only press
complicated and precise shapes repeatedly but
can check them to microns.
The
telecommunications industry has recognised this
and now the tooling and prototyping of new
products runs alongside the production
facilities.
Springing from the
knowledge of pressing and welding stainless
steel for the nuclear industry are some of the
most efficient hot water systems in the UK to
date. The techniques to reduce corrosion and
maintain integrity in a cost competitive market
along with the flexibility of production are
