GEL have developed a range of innovative manufacturing processes utilised from cradle to grave comprehensive fabrication facilities, laser profiling involving multi axis welding robotics, a variety of welding processes (including Robotics 3D Fibre Laser), 5 axis machining, large deep drawn pressing, forming, surface treatments (Vaqua Blasting), polishing, CMM inspection and final assembly.
Supporting these activities are non-destructive testing services utilising x-ray or dye-penetrant, and the ability to permanently identify the product using fibre laser engraving technology.

Laser Welding Cell 1
- Built in May 2012, the cell is 10m X 8m.
- Delivering the laser there is a Precitec YW52 Welding head.
- Driven by a Fanuc M710 ic 6 axis robot.
- This sits on an 8M track which gives the versatility of the whole 10m of the cell for the robot to move within.
- 500kg tilt and turn manipulator.
- 5000kg tilt and turn Motofil manipulator.
Laser Welding Cell 2
- Built in May 2018, the cell is 8m X 4.5m.
- Delivering the laser is a IPG D50 wobble head that allows us to osculate the beam to deliver larger spot sizes when required.
- Driven by a Fanuc M710 ic 6 axis robot.
- This sits on a 6m track that allows the robot again to span the whole length of the cell.
- 500Kg tilt and turn manipulator.
- 500Kg floor level rotator.
- 500Kg horizontal rotator with tail stock.
Laser Welding Cell 3
- Built in October 2020, the cell is 10m X 6m.
- Delivering the laser there is a Precitec YW52 Welding head.
- Driven by a Fanuc M710 ic 6 axis long arm robot.
- This sits on an 8M track which gives the versatility of the whole 10m of the cell for the robot to move within.
- 295Kg Fanuc tilt and turn small manipulator.
