Started by Mr Corry T Graham as Graham Sheetmetal in May 1970 the company evolved and rapidly grew, gaining a reputation for quality products at competitive prices; with an all-encompassing ethos for customer satisfaction the company quickly outgrew its first two sites within the first 10 years.

From these humble beginnings, offering local companies a repair and replace service, the company has expanded by introducing new manufacturing techniques to fuel growth and diversification. GEL today, are still proud to supply to some of their original customers - testimony to their continuing customer satisfaction ethic – while expanding their horizons into new market sectors.

Currently located in Nelson, NW England, the new site has again been recently expanded, now boasting a 340,000 sq ft site and is now one of the area's largest employers, with a site to match.

In summary, GEL provides a multitude of engineering processes and skills: from concept through to completed drawings; comprehensive testing; 5 axis machining; laser profiling involving multi axis welding robotics; large deep drawn pressing; forming; fabricating through a variety of welding processes; surface treatments (vaqua blasting), polishing facility; CMM inspection; and finally assembly. Supporting these activities are non-destructive testing services utilising x-ray or dye-penetrant, and the ability to permanently identify products using Laser engraving technology.
